·         Guest lecturer at Moorpark College in Humanities M02: Individual and the Arts on March 5, 2009, 8:30-9:30 a.m. Instructors: Nils Slattum, Tracy Tennenhouse and Jerrold R. Caplan

The lecture focused on the improvisation-composition continuum, with examples from Western art music and my own work.

·         Featured composer at the UCSB Composer’s Forum, which consisted of a one-hour presentation of my recent compositions and compositional philosophy, on May 31, 2005

·         Presented An Unexpected Opening to Horacio Vaggione in a UCSB composition master class on May 16, 2005

·         Presented Burning to Shine, for unaccompanied viola, to a UCSB viola master class with Kurt Rohde on March 10, 2005

Note: several students attempted the work in the class and one of them performed it at a violist/composer collaborative recital on March 31, 2005.

·         Presented Breathing to Center, for viola and piano, to the UCSB collaborative piano class, taught by Yael Weiss, in the fall of 2005

Note: each of five pianists attempted the work with the same violist.

Hope (fall, 2000), for piano

This piece was chosen to be the music score to Honeypot’s promotional video, “Amy’s Story”.

Honeypot exists to enhance the lives of very vulnerable children and young carers aged between 5 and 12, across the UK, by supporting their social development through respite care and a programme of long term support.”
